About Us
Based near the small village of Invergarry on the west coast of Scotland, A.N Fraser Joinery and Building was established in 1988 by Alasdair Fraser, a recently qualified joiner at the time. Alasdair carried out all aspects of joinery for local households and estates setting the high standard of work that we continue to produce today.

Alasdair continued to grow the business over the following years and slowly began to take on bigger and more challenging projects until he was eventually able to take on whole house builds. Initially working with somewhat ‘primitive’ equipment to put houses together he gradually updated and expanded the equipment to the modern machinery used today. From this initial start up the business grew into the company today capable of all types of building works but specialising in the design and build of timber frame homes.
In 2005 Alasdair’s brother Donald joined the business, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering he adapted his skills to the building trade and now deals with the design (if necessary) and planning side of all our new build homes. Donald also deals with some of the structural engineering required in our houses as well as ensuring they meet the stringent building regulations in place today.
Over the years, A.N Fraser Joinery and Building has grown from carrying out small joinery works to the stage today where we can undertake all aspects of building your home from design, site selection, and planning right through to the final landscaping. By owning and operating our own fleet of plant we can ensure that machines and operators are always available when required throughout the building of your home whilst also ensuring a higher quality work is achieved as opposed to sub-contracting this work.
We understand that building a home is a massive undertaking and will ensure we work through the whole project alongside you. We always aim to exceed your expectations when building your home which can start from as little as a sketch on the back of an envelope and a phone call!
